Word Work: December Words

I can't seem to get myself going on this Sunday morning! I am still sitting on the couch, watching some Teen Mom on tivo! haha I need to go grab a diet coke and start my Christmas shopping!

I did update my Writing and Word Work Cards for December. I know my students continue to use these cards daily at their word work center and they really love them! In the past, I had trouble keeping students on task during the word work....more specifically when they were using the white boards. They would tend to start to draw pictures instead of writing words.  These cards have been so helpful! Now, they have to write their words, and if they write the word, they can draw the matching picture--they are loving it!

Head on over to TPT by clicking on the picture below to re-download the cards. The December words will be on the last page. Enjoy!!

  6. Hey, thanks for sharing your December words and for providing such a great website. I skipped over to your January page and liked your bear and penguin facts too. Loved the penguin in a cup idea... but was confused as why the penguin had a sign that said North Pole. I thought they lived in Antarctica? Any way, thanks for sharing lots of good information and pictures.

  7. Haha Denise, they do!! I copied that Penguin snow globe from Pinterest exactly the way it was...not even thinking about the sign!! Luckily, that is my example on my blog and I caught the mistake before my art club made it! :) Thanks for your message!

  9. Hi Caitlin, I want to tell you that I am an avid reader of your blog as well as a customer of your TpT store. I enjoy my purchases as well as your freebies. I am writing to you because I am also a fan of the blog "Two Fulbright Hugs." I read the horrible comments you and other bloggers whom I respect wrote on her post where she shared a free editable teacher binder. I do not understand the warrant for the attack. There are about 20 blogs that I follow in which the authors shared their own version of a teacher binder, whether editable or not. I guess I ask because I do not understand and would hate to think that the blogging community is truly not supportive of one another. It's not like I know this blogger in person or anything, I just don't understand why the hostility. Thanks for reading.

  10. Hi sweet friend! The blogging world is a tight community and someone saw a copy of this item ( which was originally credited to Caitlin) saying she made her binder covers using her idea. Caitlin asked her privately to remove the item and did so nicely. Then, the person changes their blog post to remove credit to Caitlin at all! (and the URL was teacher takers) all she asked for was that post removed. I think that is more than fair. It is awesome to give away items that you create... We do it all the time! We just ask for originality and

  11. Respectful of each other. Please know we all love bloggers and those who give away items for free! You just have to give away your own items. I hope that makes sense. I have worked with Caitlin for almost a year now and I can honestly say she is kind, fair, and so hardworking.
