If you want to know about me then you must know all about my family :) I have 3 wonderful sisters (2 older and 1 younger) and the BEST mom and dad EVER!! I also have over 35 cousins!! I love having a big family :)
I was lucky enough to go on a mission trip to Kakamega, Kenya. It was a life changing experience. I was able to teach primarily in a kindergarten classroom. The small classroom had 93 children who eat a cup of porridge once a day, some don't have a home or parents, and there are absolutely no school supplies except a piece of chalk. With that said, the children were the most wonderful kids I have ever met. They are kind, have a passion for learning, and they enjoy life! I am praying that I will be able to go back one day to the same school and continue to help.
I am also a graduate of Auburn University...War Eagle! My four years at Auburn were some of the best years! You are truly part of a big family when you're there! It is amazing! I am a huge college football fan and still go back up to Auburn at least once every fall for a game!
Besides that, I am currently in my ninth year of teaching kindergarten. I really can't see myself in any other grade, but never say never ;)
Some things that I really like... the color yellow, rainbow sprinkles, tacos, traveling, laughing, country concerts, Outback bloomin' onions, reality tv, comfy clothes...
I hope you enjoy my blog! I love sharing my ideas and reading all of yours! Even if you don't have a blog of your own, you can comment on mine or email me. I love meeting new teachers!
