So if you are anything like me, you have found some GREAT classroom quotes on Pinterest!! I even have a Classroom Quote Board on Pinterest that you can see HERE :)
Well, I knew I wanted to do something with all these quotes so I dedicated a wall for them in my class!! Before I left school on Friday (for the summer!) I made frames out of construction paper. I laminated the frames and stapled them in various places on the wall. Then, I printed out some of the quotes that I've found and had them laminated. I stapled those on top of the frames...this way I can always change out the quotes if I want to!
I LOVE the way it came out!! The picture from my phone doesn't do it justice! I was literally running out the door to my end of the year luncheon and snapped a quick photo.
and some closer views at some of the great sayings...
That wall will even look ten times better when I can unpack in August!! Look at how we have to leave our classrooms for the summer...
Everything has to be stacked up on our back counter! Even though I am returning to the same classroom. Kind of a pain :/

I absolutely love your framed quotes. It's so colorful and positive. You did a fabulous job. Did you cute the frames by hand. I love the details.

UGH I feel your pain. We have to put EVERYTHING in our pods that connect our rooms...nothing can even be on counters!! Although last year I wasn't reassigned yet at the end of the year so everything lived in my dining room for the summer so I guess I can't really complain this time around :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so interesting what different schools/state have teachers do at the end of the year. We have to have the desks, tables, counters clean but we can keep stuff on our book shelves if they are staying in place. Can't wait to explore your blog and add it to my blog roll at http://transitionalkinder.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteLOVE the wall of quotes!
ReplyDeleteBut... I am amazed at your stuff! THAT IS IT!
I mean, that is pretty neat and not a lot at all. I have WAY too much! hehe

ReplyDeleteI love the quotes. I think I may borrow the idea but tweak it and use it in our teacher's workroom/lounge. We have to do the same thing with stacking things. Ugh!

The Teacher's Backpack
That would be super cute to do in the teachers lounge!!!! And yes Miss Nelson I cut all the frames out/drew them by hand. Besides the scalloped frames- I just used the scalloped scissors for those! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a wonderful idea!! I'm pinning this idea for next year. LOVE it! :)

ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel any better, we have to pack our rooms up every year for summer school :( I would take the loading up the counters over boxing all of my stuff up any day!!
I love the quote wall idea for the kids...I always have a few faves by my teacher supplies to keep me motivated...now I can do the same for the kiddos. :) We have to pack up everything when we leave too...major pain I know. Enjoy your summer!
